Sri Lanka's GovPay Digital System Surpasses Rs. 1 Billion in Transactions

The GovPay digital payment system, designed for collecting fees for government services in Sri Lanka, has successfully processed transactions totaling over 1 billion rupees (Rs. 1 billion) to date.

Payment Overview – This amount has been utilized for a variety of government services, including taxes, fines, utility bills, education fees, and other miscellaneous charges.

Transaction Volume – Since the introduction of the GovPay digital payment method, a total of 40,920 transactions have been completed.

Expansion – Notably, around 200 government institutions have now been integrated and connected to the GovPay digital payment system.
